Looptroop – On Repeat (Video)

Following the latest election in Sweden (September 19) we wrote, and recorded this song – responding to a racist party being voted in to the Swedish parliament in particular, and to the extreme right wing winds blowing over European and world politics in general. The feelings of frustration and anger had to be channeled some way, and the very day after the election we met in the Wax Cabinet studio to voice our opinion about history repeating itself, and Sweden being an even colder country this fall. — Looptroop Rockers

“On repeat” är en teaser för det nya Looptroop-albumet som släpps i Mars 2011 om allt går enligt planerna.

Pato Pooh - Follow Me ft. Adam Tensta (Bum Bill Remix)

Pato Pooh’s new video “Follow Me ft. Adam Tensta” as we wrote about in the last post already has +20 000 views at YouTube. In other words, it is not only we at TSD that digs Pato’s new joint.

Top Streetwear, MBFIMG and Deh Din Poik has put up a remix-challenge for the single, one for rappers and one for producers. The challenge goes on for 48hours and it’s all about most views at YouTube and points from a jury. You can read the entire rules over at MBFIMG.com

I haven’t checked out all the remixes yet, + 110 contributions but I have to give some shine to one of the contesters. The producer Bum Bill Beats, who used to be a part of the duo “Pikturez & Bum Bill“, has put together a really dope remix. If you like the remix you should also check out their old mixtape “Urbanized Konfusion“! Peep the remix below.

J-son – Head In The Sky (Trailer)

J-Son released a trailer for his yet unreleased single “Head In The Sky” last night. It’s the forth and last single and will be released the 14th of October before the record “Never Half Steppin” drops via Same Blood Entertainment and EMI Music Publishing.

J-Son had a busy summer after releasing his first single “Lookie Lookie” which lead to various performances at festivales around Sweden and heavy radio rotation. He also opened for artists such as Joe Budden, Musiq Soulchild and Lady Gaga.

Personally I am split about J-Son, but still curious about the album. I guess I got high expectations on it and crossing my fingers that he won’t go and do like Lazee did after his epic mixtape “It Is What It Is (host Dj Kayslay) – drop a boring record (Setting Standard) that is.

Henok Achido -High On Life (When The Drugs Don’t Work)

Earlier this year Henok released his great debut album “Almaz Charming Child” (which we reviewed) and today he released the video to the 4th single, called “High On Life (when the drugs don’t work)”. The track was one of my favourite tracks from the album and the video doesn’t disappoint.

The video is directed by  Oskar Ljungholm and Mattis Gustafsson for Slagskott film, director of photography Erik Nordlund, edited by Alexander Widerberg and the 3D is done by Fredrik Nilsson.

Edit 15/9:Since the video is now up at Youtube aswell I embedded it in the post, the video is still available at Aftonbladet

Ison & Fille – Ikväll är vi kungar

Ison & Fille - Kungar Ikväll

The first single, Jag skrattar idag“, from Ison & Fille‘s forthcoming album “För Evigt” was released a couple of weeks ago.  The track caused some confusion among fans since, despite saying it was an Ison & Fille track, it only featured verses from Fille. Now it’s time for the second single, “Ikväll är vi kungar” and this time it’s Ison who’s doing it solo.

The track is produced by Beatsurgeons and features Birgit Bidder on song. The video is directed by Alexander Widerberg.

“Ikväll är vi kungar” can be downloaded for free during a limited time from wonlove.se

Now it’s time for their second video from the album, “Lever för det här”, which features Danjah.

The video is produced by Concrete Steppa Pictures and directed by Oliver Martin Henriquez.  Assistant director: Duncan Mukada.
